1.3 Custom Orders
Custom products are manufactured according to the specifications, dimensions, materials, colors, quantities, designs, and other conditions approved by the Customer.
1.4 Customer Review Responsibility
The Customer is responsible for reviewing the quotation, specifications, design, dimensions, materials, colors, quantities, intended use, and all other relevant details before approving an order.
1.5 DEFINITIONS
For the purposes of these Terms, the following terms shall have the meanings set out below unless the context clearly requires otherwise.
1.5.1 Design
“Design” means the conceptual, visual, functional, dimensional, or technical planning of a product or project, including the planning or development of its appearance, structure, dimensions, functions, specifications, intended use, or other relevant elements.
Design may include sketches, drawings, renderings, layouts, concepts, specifications, and other forms of visual or technical representation.
1.5.2 Modeling / 3D Modeling
“Modeling” or “3D Modeling” means the creation, modification, reconstruction, preparation, or optimization of a digital three-dimensional model or CAD model based on instructions, measurements, drawings, photographs, reference materials, existing files, or other information provided by the Customer.
1.5.3 Printing / 3D Printing
“Printing” or “3D Printing” means the physical production of a product or component using a 3D printer, in which material is deposited, cured, fused, or otherwise formed layer by layer.
1.5.4 Manufacturing
“Manufacturing” means the physical production or fabrication of a product and may include 3D printing, fabrication, assembly, component installation, finishing, and other manufacturing-related processes.
1.5.5 Finishing

This may include file preparation, slicing, print orientation, support preparation, machine configuration, material preparation, calibration, testing, and other production-preparation activities.
1.5.7 Development
“Development” means technical or creative work performed to create, improve, adapt, verify, or make a product, design, model, or manufacturing method suitable for the Customer’s requirements.
Development may include research, prototyping, testing, trial production, design iteration, problem-solving, and manufacturing-process development.

- Allocating existing inventory to a specific order
- Cutting, preparing, or processing materials
- Setting up machines or printers
- Reserving machine time
- 3D printing
- Fabrication

- Other manufacturing-related activities
Production may be deemed to have commenced once AK3DLab Cebu has purchased, reserved, allocated, prepared, or otherwise committed materials, machine time, labor, or other resources specifically for the Customer’s order, even if physical 3D printing or fabrication has not yet begun.
1.5.9 Approval
“Approval” means a clear and affirmative confirmation by the Customer that a design, specification, quotation, dimension, material, color, quantity, production instruction, or other relevant matter is accepted and that AK3DLab Cebu may proceed to the next stage.
Approval may be provided through any written or electronic method permitted under these Terms.
Words or instructions such as “Approved,” “Confirmed,” “Okay to proceed,” “Proceed,” “Go ahead,” or other communications that clearly and reasonably indicate authorization for AK3DLab Cebu to continue may constitute Approval.
A communication shall not constitute Approval where it is reasonably unclear, conditional, incomplete, or merely constitutes a question, discussion, or request for revision.
Once Approval has been given, AK3DLab Cebu may reasonably rely on that Approval in proceeding with the next applicable stage of design, preparation, Production, finishing, delivery, or other work.
1.5.10 Final Design Approval
“Final Design Approval” means the Customer’s confirmation that the final design, model, dimensions, specifications, appearance, and other relevant details to be used for Production are accepted and approved for Production.
Any Customer-requested change after Final Design Approval may be treated as additional work and may result in additional charges and changes to the estimated completion date.
1.6 WRITTEN AND ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS
For the purposes of these Terms, any reference to “written,” “in writing,” “written notice,” “written approval,” “written agreement,” or similar wording includes communications and records in both physical and electronic form.
Electronic communications may include email, electronic documents, digital or electronic signatures, SMS, and messages sent through messaging applications or social media platforms used by AK3DLab Cebu and the Customer in connection with the relevant order or project.
Unless otherwise required by applicable law or expressly agreed by the parties, no handwritten signature, printed document, notarization, company seal, or other physical formality is required for a communication, approval, authorization, notice, or agreement to be considered “in writing.”

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, original designs, 3D models, CAD files, source files, working files, templates, and other intellectual property created or developed by AK3DLab Cebu shall remain the property of AK3DLab Cebu, subject to applicable law.
7.2 Physical Product vs. Digital Files
Payment for a custom product or modeling service entitles the Customer to receive the physical product covered by the order.
Payment alone does not transfer ownership of the underlying digital design, CAD model, source files, working files, or other intellectual property created by AK3DLab Cebu.
7.3 Source and Editable Files
Payment for design, modeling, or manufacturing services does not automatically include the release of F3D, STEP, CAD, STL, 3MF, or other editable, source, working, or production files.
7.4 Transfer or Release of Files
Any transfer of ownership or release of source files, editable files, or production files to the Customer must be separately agreed in writing.
Additional charges may apply.

The following are normal characteristics of 3D printing and are generally not considered defects:
- Visible layer lines
- Minor stringing
- Seams
- Support marks
- Small surface imperfections
- Slight dimensional variation
- Minor warping
- Minor color variation between filament batches
- Minor differences in surface texture
- Other characteristics inherent to the selected printing process
8.3 Cosmetic Variations
Unless a specific surface finish or appearance standard has been separately agreed, minor cosmetic variations shall be considered acceptable.
8.4 Dimensional Variation
Finished dimensions may vary slightly from specified dimensions due to material properties, shrinkage, machine calibration, environmental conditions, and the manufacturing process.
8.5 Material Characteristics
Different materials have different properties, including strength, flexibility, shrinkage, surface finish, heat resistance, chemical resistance, and dimensional stability.
9. APPROVAL
9.1 Approval Before Production
Where Approval is required for a custom design, AK3DLab Cebu may begin Production after receiving Final Design Approval or approval of the applicable specifications from the Customer.

If a file supplied by the Customer causes a print to fail, become incomplete, unusable, or otherwise unsuitable, additional printing, preparation, or modeling charges may apply.
10.4 Customer-Requested Changes
If the Customer requests changes after Approval or after Production has commenced, and such changes require additional work, materials, reprinting, or remake, the resulting costs may be charged separately.
10.5 Non-Refundability After Production Has Commenced
Orders for which Production, as defined in Section 1.5.8, has commenced are generally non-refundable.
Production may be deemed to have commenced even if physical printing or fabrication has not yet begun, once materials, machine time, labor, or other resources have been purchased, reserved, allocated, prepared, or otherwise committed specifically to the order.
A Customer-requested cancellation, change of mind, change in preference, or other Customer-related circumstance after Production has commenced does not qualify the order for a refund.
This does not apply where a refund is required by applicable law or otherwise agreed by AK3DLab Cebu.
10.6 Assessment of Remakes
AK3DLab Cebu may assess the cause of a defect or failure before determining whether a free remake, paid remake, repair, refund, or other resolution applies.

Depending on the circumstances, AK3DLab Cebu may repair, replace, reprint, or remake the affected item.
11.6 Warranty Assessment
The Customer may be required to provide photographs, videos, or other supporting information, or to return or present the product for inspection, in order to determine whether an issue is covered by warranty.
11.7 Warranty Claim Period
Warranty claims must be reported within the applicable fourteen (14)-day warranty period.
12. DELIVERY, PICKUP & UNCLAIMED ITEMS
12.1 Delivery Charges
Delivery charges are separate unless expressly included in the quotation.
12.2 Third-Party Couriers
