The request
This project was commissioned by an artist who creates original artwork and needed a stand to display their original stickers at pop-up shops. Thank you so much for trusting us with your project.
Starting from how it would be used
We began by talking through where and how the stand would be used. With portability, durability and cost in mind, we proposed a structure that combines 3D printed parts with lightweight, durable aluminum rods.
Built to fit the stickers
We cut the aluminum rods to length with specialized tools and fitted them into the 3D printed frame. Each sticker tray was designed individually to match the exact size of the artist’s stickers.
The trays simply click into place on the rods, so they are easy to attach and remove. We also added rubber soles to the feet for extra grip and stability.
The right material for each part
We don’t 3D print every single part. For each project we combine the materials and fabrication methods that suit it best, which keeps costs down while getting the right balance of light weight, durability and ease of use.
Finding the right solution for each purpose and turning an idea into something that actually works, from proposing the approach to designing and building it: that is where our strength lies.
